ABSTRACT
In order to capture the feelings evoked by a place and time, nothing works quite as well as abstraction. This is an intuitive process and the paintings develop spontaneously. They usually range in size from 36" x 48" to 8' x 10' or larger. When commissioned to paint large, abstract paintings for a client I typically work closely with that client providing preliminary studies when requested, and images of the work as it progresses.
